If you are more geared toward sleeping under the starry night skies, the region has camping spots that might be just what you’re looking for.

The Village of Wilton Campground has the best camping facilities in the area.  With easy access to the bike trail and recreational opportunities for the whole family. Come see one of the amazing bike trail tunnels – just a short ride from the campground.  The village has a beautiful tree-filled public campground.

The campground has drinking water, new restrooms and showers, electricity, wi-fi, ball diamonds, children’s playgrounds, volleyball courts, and a public swimming pool. There is something for everyone in our friendly village!

Tunnel Trail Campground is a family-owned private campground that is conveniently located on the Elroy-Sparta Bicycle Trail. Next year will mark our 50th year in business, making us one of the longest-standing campgrounds not just in the Kendall region of WI, but in the entire state. The Kickapoo Valley Reserve is an 8,569-acre tract of land located between the villages of La Farge and Ontario in southwestern Wisconsin. Its history, resources, administration, and recreational diversity make it unique – a place like no other. The state-sanctioned Kickapoo Reserve Management Board is responsible for managing the property on behalf of the State of Wisconsin and Ho-Chunk Nation. As a publicly protected property – subject to state, tribal, and federal laws – visitors are asked to be aware of the rule and permit requirements.

We invite you to come and see for yourself the many wonders of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve.  Here, sandstone outcroppings tower over the Kickapoo River as you paddle its quiet waters while native plants and animals abound in all seasons.  Whether you’d like to join us for a scheduled interpretive hike, adventure into the backcountry on your own, or simply stop and admire the beauty, the Kickapoo Valley Reserve welcomes you!
